What to do before you bring it in
- Shut it down straight away and unplug the charger.
- Turn it upside down like an open tent so liquid drains away from the board.
- Do not try to switch it back on to see if it still works.
- Do not put it on a radiator or use a hairdryer.

Is a liquid damaged laptop always repairable?
Not always, and we will not pretend otherwise. It depends on what was spilled, how much got in and what has happened since. The diagnostic is free, so you find out where you stand before spending anything.
It still works fine. Do I need to bring it in?
It is worth having it looked at. Liquid can sit on the board and cause corrosion over the following days and weeks, so a laptop that seems fine today can fail later.
Will I lose my files?
Tell us straight away if there is data on it you need. We can talk you through the options for your files as part of the diagnostic.
